"Lumber Tarps" are sized for covering of tall loads like lumber. Lumber tarps are usually 24' wide, so they will cover an 8' high load an 8' wide trailer. They also include an End Flap that wraps around the front or Back of the Load. Two overlapping tarps are typically used cover a full load. A typical LUMBER TARP is 24' wide x 27' long. We put #4 brass grommets all around the hem plus 2 or 3 rows of dee rings placed every 24" along each long side. The dee rings are sewn under continuous rows of 2" seatbelt webbing and placed 30 and 60 inches up from the edge (hem). An extra row of tiedowns can be added at 90 inches above the hem for those situations where the tarp will need pulled down over shorter loads. LIGHTWEIGHT FABRIC is available. If saving weight is a priority, our 3-Piece Lumber Tarp Set is a great combination of easy-to-handle tarps and premium 18oz fabric. When 3-pc tarps are not desired, light-weight fabrics are a good option, but may require extra care in padding and tie-down of the tarp.
